Abstract

Surgical treatments in patients with chronic pancreatitis (CP) are indicated in the absence of response to medical treatment of pain or the presence of complications of the disease. The following is a case of complicated CP in which duodenopancreatectomy was performed, and surgical alternatives for patients with this disease are also described.
