Bile duct injury represents a serious health problem, with its incidence doubling since the advent of laparoscopic cholecystectomy. In cases of complex lesions affecting the hepatic confluence, association with vascular injuries, hepatic atrophy, cholangitis or failed repair, treatment is often challenging.
