survival and improve the quality of life of our paꢁents.
The strength of this study is that it has not been
previously performed in our populaꢁon, which allows
us to gain a current understanding of the reality of the
individuals in our region. Furthermore, each paꢁent
was evaluated by a mulꢁdisciplinary team and followed
up conꢁnuously, reducing the possibility of losses
during the study. The weakness lies in the sample size
and the retrospecꢁve design, as the manual extracꢁon
of data from the medical records could lead to human
error and loss of informaꢁon. However, the data were
checked several ꢁmes to reduce this possibility.
In conclusion, the rate of POFP aꢂer PD
was similar to that of previous studies. Yet, we could
not demonstrate any associaꢁon with the variables
analyzed.
